Autism Service Dogs in Southeast WI
Based in Palmyra, DogsInVests provides the best-trained service dogs for children with autism. While our dogs are always ready for a road trip, we insist all dog recipients be located within about an hour of our headquarters. That puts our service area within range of much of southern Wisconsin. Get in touch to connect your family with one of our labradors, golden retrievers, goldendoodles, and labradoodles.
Why not serve all of Wisconsin?
To maintain high standards and ensure the safety of our furry companions, recipients must attend a weekly training session at our facility in Palmyra for approximately 12 months before graduation. Recipients must also be able to attend annual recertification for the dog and handler.
Can I volunteer if I am outside the service area?
Like recipients, volunteer puppy raisers should be located within our service area in southeast WI. As a puppy raiser, you will be responsible for taking your dog to their puppy obedience class, canine good citizen class, daily work with the pup to reinforce classwork, and check-in training sessions at your house, the training facility or our headquarters to have the dog work one on one with our trainer.
Who can make donations?
Anyone! We accept donations in person at our headquarters in Palmyra and can take shipments of dog supplies like food, treats and leashes. You can also support our mission by donating online.
